amuse me
a poem
I don’t want you.
I want the me you bring.
Inject your electric
under my skin.
Fill me with words
until I overflow.
Dripping in rhymes
from head to toe.
It opens me up
to a limitless sky.
I look up and drink
My tongue never dry.
Show me the door
to the me I become.
Why does you existing
make me come undone?
A curious effect
with no explanation.
My catalyst for creation.
And you’ll never even know—
That is the savior.
But I swear if I could,
I’d return the favor.
Thanks for giving me your time and attention. It’s what I crave. But just in case you wanna take it even further, I’ll leave this button right here…

In loving, we don’t just want the other - we want the self they reveal.
Not reflection, but a quiet pact written in someone else’s gaze.
Love is a broken mirror where the pieces briefly agree to call themselves whole.
I think we've all wanted the person we become and not the other person.
At least I have.
